She was predeceased by : her parents, James Elisha Bateman and Olive Elaine Swindell; her husband Woodrow "Butch" Whitley; and her sister Victoria Franklin. She is survived by : her siblings, Rose Harrill, Venus Cleanthes, Issac Bateman and James Bateman, Jr..
