With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Selmer Garland of Virginia Beach, Virginia, born in Shady Valley, Tennessee, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Pauline (Polly); his children, Richard Dennis (Trudy) and Susan (Dennis Pauly); and his sisters, Wahnita Medina and Louise Garland Tanner. He is also survived by one grandson, two granddaughters, eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
