She was predeceased by: her parents, William H. Gilchrist and Roxie Mae Frye; and her siblings, George Daniel Gilchrist, Henry Alfred Gilchrist and Bertha Louise Mitchel.
She is survived by: her husband Festus Walker; her daughters, Sonya Dowell and LaDonna Walker; her grandchildren, Natasha Walker and Gaius Dowell (Jeanette); her great grandchildren, Sakhar, Audrea and Marcella; and her siblings, Russell Gilchrist, Thelma Beavers and Beatrice Wade. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends.
