He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Abdulla Kassir and Mari Kassir; his wife Rita; his sons, John and Basil; and his siblings, Dr. Khalida Kassir and Dr. Zuhair Kassir.
He is survived by: his sisters, Aida Toma and Faiza Shammas; his sister-in-law Maria; his brother Kal Kassir (Joni); and his caregiver Esther. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins and their children.
