He was predeceased by: his parents, Marl Burton and Hazel Burton; his wife Patricia Esther; and his siblings, Billie Jean, Clara Fay, Brenda, Philip, Carl and Clide.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Burton (Annette), Chris Gurganus (Donald) and Kim Rosales (Rey); his grandchildren, Kevin Burton (Crystal), Jennifer Lorence (John), Jessica Wilbanks (Matt), Leslea Michal (Craig) of Andrew, Martin and Adam Burton (Annie); his sister Wanda; and his close friend Donna Pittman. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
