He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Powers and Gladys Powers. He is survived by: his wife Rachel Gail Powers (Finn); his children, Kristle Powers Hataway (Michael) of Louisa, VA and Larry D. "Bo" Powers, Jr. of Orange, VA; his grandchildren, Audrey (Eric), Kailey (Brandon), Austin (Alyssa) and Evan; his great grandchildren, Kysen, Aria, Alaya, Meah, Klaira, Ryker, Asher, Ariela, Jaxson, Ezra, Amelia and Millie; his brother Tommy Powers of Elkins, WV; his siblings-in-law, Joseph Dennis Finn (Shryl) and Lynn Cosner (Rick); and his caregiver Jay. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
