He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Lee Smith, Sr. and Joyce Smith; and his brother Robert Smith. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Smith; his children, Catherine Greer (David) and Kenneth Smith (Dianne); his grandchildren, Michelle Hall (Randy), Kirk Smith, Thomas Zimmerman (Robert), Jeffrey Greer, Shannon Loebs (Zack) and James Smith; his great grandchild Shawn McCain; and his sister Annette Everett.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430 in Ernest's honor.
