He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Benfer and Florence Benfer; his brothers, David and Donald Benfer; and his daughter-in-law Meredith Goodwin Benfer.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanneane W. Benfer; his sons, Richard, Jim (Cheryl) and Jack (Pam); his grandchildren, Andrew Benfer (Samantha), Jackson Benfer, Katharine Benfer and Davis Benfer (Elisia); and his sibling's children, Jeannine Cummings, Kathleen Geneva, Jannelle Murray, David Benfer, Keith Benfer and Eric Benfer.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Moser Funeral Home, Inc. (233 Broadview Ave, Warrenton, VA 20186). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
