He was predeceased by : his parents, Woodrow Wilson Mitchell and Ella Mae Mitchell of Litchfield, Maine.; and his siblings, Mary Elizabeth Mitchell, Naomi Ball and Jonathan Mitchell.
He is survived by : his wife Martha R. Mitchell; his daughter Sharon (Christopher Whitesell) of Culpeper, VA; and his brothers, Stephen Mitchell (Jan) of Cape Cod, MA and David Mitchell of Center Ossipee, NH. He is also survived by many nieces and cousins.
