Carey; his daughter Faye Tucker (Greg); his granddaughters, Danielle Tucker and Shannon Tucker; his sisters, Eliza Dowdy (William) and Frances Reeder (Walter); his nephew William H. Dowdy III (Maureen); his great-niece Candice Dowdy; his great-nephews, Devon and Graham Dowdy; Jonathan Dowdy.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in his memory to American Heart Association or National Kidney Foundation.
