She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Eugene Pierson and Eunice Lenore Minor Pierson; and her brothers, Eugene Pierson and Benjamin Pierson. She is survived by: her husband Butch; her children, Faye Grace (Bill), Kaye Saunders (Donnie), William Lewis "Billy" Saunders, Jr. (Jennifer) and Joyce "JoJo" Coates; and her grandchildren, Ryan Watson, Logan Saunders, Emma Saunders, Amme Saunders, Nicole Grace, Kelsyn Saunders and Jordyn Grace. She is also survived by extended family and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to the Richmond County Company 3 (Newland) Fire Department or the Welcome Grove Baptist Church Shoe Box Fund.
