We are sad to announce that on June 2, 2022, Betty Byars McConnell of Washington, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, William "Bill" Byars and Clara Byars; her husband Marvin McConnell; her child Lynn McConnell; her brother Billy Bob Byars (Violet); her nephews, Robert Byars and Kelly Byars; and her son-in-law David Canter.

She is survived by : her children, Julian McConnell (Tammy), Danny McConnell (Judy), Suzanne Canter, Euna Smeltzer (Dale) and Sylvia Keller (Walter); and her sister Patsy Buchanan (Bucky). She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; also, several nieces and nephews.
