She was predeceased by: her parents, Simon Owens and Hettie Owens. She is survived by: her husband Tommy Childress; her children, Thomas Childress, Mike Childress (Elaine), Judy Begley and Richard Childress (Terrisa); her grandchildren, Sara Rives (John), Rebecca Childress, Pattie Shelton (Jonathon), Kimberley Crusenberry (Israel), Tommy Childress and Kelsey Cox (Carrington); and her friends, Sharon and Rob Francisco. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church in Delphia's memory.
