Noel Laing Obituary
We announce the death of Noel Laing (Washington, Virginia), who passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 87. Noel will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Garvey Laing and Sally Harris Laing; and his son Robert Laing. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte; his children, Kathleen Hutcheson (Bruce), Aileen Laing (Jack Tenant), Noël Laing (Scott Gordon), Clara Ferguson (Jim Ferguson), Victoria Laing and Ginger (John Carneal); his sisters, Dr. Aileen Laing and Susan Laing; and his pet Patti. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Trinity Episcopal Church (379 Gay St, Washington, VA 22747).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, Rappahannock Food Pantry, Headwaters or RAWL.
