He was predeceased by: his parents, John Updike and Clara Updike; his son Justin Updike; and his brothers, Kelly Updike and Glenn Updike.
He is survived by: his wife Toni Updike; his son Scott Updike; his daughter-in-law Ashley Updike; his granddaughters, Ella and Clara Updike; his great grandchild Katie Updike; and his brothers, Francis Updike and Lyle Updike.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Washington Baptist Church (180 Gay St, Washington, VA 22747). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
