He was predeceased by: his parents, Arvil Matthew Addison and Ethel Christine Gibson Addison; and his brother Darrell Addison. He is survived by: his sons, Gregory Scott Addison Jr. (Ashley) of Norton and Michael Addison (April) of Corbin, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Lucas Addison, Carter Addison (Breanna), Peyton Addison and Emma Addison; his siblings, Roger K. Addison (Debra) of North Carolina, Ronnie Addison (Rhonda) of Norton and Donna Addison of Clintwood, Virginia.; and his nieces and nephews, Anthony Addison, Curtis Caldwell, John Adair, Victoria Talbott, Natalie Addison, Matthew Addison, Melanie Bongard and Patricia Owens.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home (956 Park Ave NW, Norton, VA 24273-1821). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A procession was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Laurel Grove Cemetery (4805 Kentucky Ave SE, Norton, VA 24273).
