He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Taylor and Pearl Taylor; and his friends, Leon Johnson Sr. and Leroy Bird. He is survived by: his daughter Chiquita Ellis (Reychell Batts); his sisters, Pearlie Turner of Waverly, VA, Rose Tabb of Waverly, VA and Cathelene Taylor; his uncle Willie Jones (Margie) of Waverly, VA; his nieces and nephews, Doris Taylor, Shamika Taylor, Lasheka Brown, Micole Taylor, Pamela Taylor, Denise, Jane (Cheryl Taylor), Darryl Taylor, Deon Taylor and Travis Williams; and his friends, Curtis Taylor, William Hinton Jr., Mary Hairston, Jenny Hatch, Givon Blizzard, Patrick Judkins, Lorenzo Hatch and Shaquita Bailey.
