He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Sr. Murphy and Ora Jones Murphy. He is survived by: his significant other Cindy Moore; his siblings, Jerry W. Murphy Sr. (Sheila), Ora Lee Baines (Bobby Lynn Sr.) of Waverly, Janice E. Turner (Leroy) of Waverly and Yvonne Jones of Baltimore, Maryland; his sister-in-law Ann Marie of Hopewell, Virginia; and his uncle Willie Jones Sr. (Margie) of Waverly, Virginia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Peace Funeral Home (237 Railroad Ave, Waverly, VA 23890). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Valley Deliverance Center (411 Oak St, Waverly, VA 23890). A burial will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at the Waverly Cemetery.
