He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Goodrich and Elsie Goodrich (Maas); his former wife Julia Marie Gracey; his son Charles John Goodrich; his daughter-in-law Dr. Susan Martin Goodrich; his brother Ralph M. Goodrich; his brother-in-law Stewart A. Gracey; and his aunt Edna Maas.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Wing Goodrich of Waynesboro; his children, Jill Ratchford (Steve) of Mechanicsville, VA, Dr. Alison Farruggio (JJ) of Dundalk, MD, Dr. Robert William Goodrich (Kyra) of Marquette, MI and Timothy Andrew Goodrich of Staunton, VA; and his grandchildren, David, Brian, Sarah Ratchford, Julia, Keaton, Roscoe Goodrich, Emma Metcalf, Jack, Eileen, Llewellyn Fillmore, Kiah Staley, Maximilian and Genevieve Farruggio. He is also survived by three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and four stepchildren.
A memorial service was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church (500 S Wayne Ave, Waynesboro, VA 22980). Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:15 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 500 South Wayne Avenue, Waynesboro, VA 22980.
