She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Ross and Mary Ross (Wolfe); her husband Harry Alexander Smith; her sons, Harry Alexander "Butch" Smith, Jr. and Harlan Randolph "Randy" Smith; and her siblings, Jimmy Ross, Ray Ross, Jerry Ross, Bill Ross, Lamar Ross and Peggy Fletcher.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Jean Smith of Deerfield, VA; her grandchildren, Shane B. Smith (Jasmine) of Harrisonburg and Laura Matthews (Smith) of Wake Forest, NC; her great grandchildren, Gracen Ellingson, Piper, Reef Smith, Adilyn and Emily Matthews; and her niece Mary Kay Ellinger (Steve) of Staunton. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
