He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville T. Wheeler and Evelyn Wheeler (Michael); and his brother Garry Wheeler. He is survived by: his wife Carol Wheeler (Grove); his children, Tiffany Wheeler, Alan Wheeler (Eldry), Amy Mays, Dean Hostetter (Christy) and Angi Pardee (Bryan); his brother Carroll Wheeler; his grandchildren, Jack Marshall, Kaitlynn Garasimowicz (Andrew), Jordan Pardee (Maddie), Jaime Dunham (Taylor), Raegan Berry, Jake Gilmer, Madison Wheeler (Gant Patteson) and Elisa Hostetter; and his great grandchildren, Peyton Marshall, Aubree Garasimowicz, Ivey Garasimowicz and Myles Dunham.
A reception will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes (618 W Main St, Waynesboro, VA 22980).
