He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roland E. Hammer and Betty Lou Hammer (Sipe); his children, Amanda Austin Madden (Joe) of Staunton, Shane E. Hammer of Waynesboro, Brock M. Hammer of Fishersville and Ian G. Hammer (Meagan) of Greenville; his grandchildren, Derrick Hammer, Chase Hammer, Corwin Harman, Levi Hammer, Grady Austin, Porter Austin, Casey Hammer and Wyatt Hammer; and his brother Terry L. Hammer (JoAnne) of Waynesboro.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel (230 Frontier Dr, Staunton, VA 24401).
It is suggested that those desiring make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-1942.
