He was predeceased by: his parents, Tazwell Veller Johnson and Bessie Elizabeth Johnson (Woods); and his former wife Furvina Eustler Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Pearl Goode Johnson; his stepchildren, Suzanne K. McCray, James T. Nauman, Sr., Donnie L. Nauman and Penni Sue-Faith Nauman; and his sister Carrie Ann Johnson of Staunton, VA. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly ask that memorial contributions be made in his name to Wayne Hills Baptist Church, or to New Covenant Church.
