He was predeceased by: his parents, Stevens Thompson and Margaret Perry Mason. He is survived by: his wife Tamera Shomo Mason; his children, Elizabeth Beckh Harding, H. Wray Sherman IV (Ashley) and Charles Hunter Shomo II (Dana); his grandchildren, Madison, Jase Harding, Kellen, Bryce Sherman, Ridge and Leddy Shomo; his sister Patricia Mason Eller (Dennis); and his siblings-in-law, Scott and Sally Shomo. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Westminster Presbyterian Church (1904 Mt Vernon St, Waynesboro, VA 22980).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Service Dogs of Virginia (PO Box 408, Charlottesville, VA 22902).
