He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Fainter and Mary Fainter of Midvale, VA; his wife Nancy Pack Fainter; his significant other Annie Finley; his siblings, Robert Fainter, Leonard Fainter, Charlie Fainter, Mary Kimble, Anna Chapin and Hilda Fainter; and his sister-in-law Agnes Fainter.
He is survived by: his son Bruce Fainter (Donna Mitchell); his brother William Fainter (Linda); his sisters-in-law, Jane Fainter and Leah Pack; and his close friends, Michele MacWelch and Dee MacWelch. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephew.
