He was predeceased by: his parents, Landon J. Kerns and Ruth V. Foster; and his half-sister Cynthia Foster. He is survived by: his sisters, Joyce Kerns of Gore, VA and Susan Newlin (Roger) of Gore, VA; and his half-sisters, Debbie Helmick of Winchester, VA and Alice Merritt of Martinsburg, WV. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
