With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lisa Renee Hiveley of Waynesboro, Virginia, who passed away on March 30, 2024 at the age of 52. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Paul Hiveley and Betty Dunn Perry; and her grandparents, Tilman, Myrtle Hiveley, John and Hattie Dunn.

She is survived by: her siblings, Kim Scott, Wilma Bradley, Crystal Perry, Nathan Perry and David Perry; and her close friends, Becky Meeks, Bunny Hearn and Valery Woody. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

“I didn’t know until today. I didn’t know and my heart is broken. Lisa and I were best friends as teenagers for many years. She saved my life when I was in an accident and her keen sense of something being wrong saved me. I wouldn’t be here if it were not for her and that was 33 years ago. We drifted apart when I moved away and back then there was not cell phones, texting, or social media. When I would come back to the valley I always rode past the house she grew up. I didn’t get to say goodbye.”
