With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Nancy Carol Alfred of Waynesboro, Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Andrew and Mary Elizabeth Wiseman; her husband Ernest Eugene Alfred; her sister Ann Lotts Parr; her grandson Ryan Sawyer Carter; and her close friend Robert W. Scates.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa Carter (Scott) of Waynesboro and Jantha Davidson of Fort Defiance; her siblings, Lewis Wiseman of Waynesboro and Barbara Swortzel (Donnie Lawhorne) of Wayensboro; her grandchildren, Brittany Gordon (Daniel), Morgan Shank (Kurtis), McKenna Burford (Austin) and Bryce Carter (Abby); her great grandchildren, Sullivan "Sully" Gordon, Ella Mae Burford, Anderson "Andy" Burford, Elliot Glen Shank and Afton Mae Carter; and her niece Deanna Lotts. She is also survived by two great grandchildren.
In lieu flowers, memorial donations may be made in Nancy's memory to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank or the American Cancer Society.
