He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Varner and Eva Lena Varner; and his wife Hisae "Helen" Imai Varner. He is survived by: his children, Juanita Varner of Waynesboro and Robert B. Varner Jr. (Christie) of Payson, AZ; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Tommy Jr), Joey (Katelynn), Kristina (Randy), Jamie (Cory), Jared (Katie), Jonathan, Jordan and Kelsie; his great grandchildren, Rachael, Tommy III (Alyssa), Hailey (John), Khloe, Parker, Brody, Zaya, Zarya, Dalton, Carson, Branson, Benaiah and Josiah; his great great grandchildren, Eleanor and Tommy IV; and his close friends, Bella and Pootoo. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
