He was predeceased by: his mother Lucille Martin. He is survived by: his wife Ima Painter; his stepchildren, Daniel Sprouse (Savannah) and Juanita Sprouse; his brothers-in-law, Daniel Painter (Barbara) and Orvil Painter (Bessie); his grandchildren, Anthony Bragg, Amanda Bragg, Adam Bragg, Alvin Bragg, Viola Sprouse and Alyssa Sprouse; and his great grandchildren, Douglass Brown, Jr., Amaya Bragg and Abraham Bragg.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Greenfield Pentecostal Church (7935 Rockfish Rd, Grottoes, VA 24441).
