He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren James and Emma Sue Hunley (Pendleton). He is survived by: his significant other Patricia "Pat" Hunley; his children, Lisa Byrd (Scott), Jessica Sutherland and Gary Hunley; his sister Annis Reed (Roy); his grandchildren, Cailey Sutherland and Lindsay Owens (Chandler); and his great grandchildren, Gibson and Presley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Gate City Funeral Home (136 Beech St, Gate City, VA 24251). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel (136 Beech St, Gate City, VA 24251). A burial was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Ponderosa Cemetery.
