It is with sadness that the passing of Betty Lou Rodgers Gay of West Point, Virginia is shared. Betty, born on October 13, 1933, passed away on August 27, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William Gay Sr. (Bill); her parents, Samuel H. Rodgers and Gladys Massey Rodgers; her brother Arnold Rodgers; and her sisters-in-law, Polly Guiff and Ruby Wilson.
She is survived by: her sister Mary Lee; her sisters-in-law, Ellen Rodgers and Nancy Gerould; her children, W. S. Gay, Jr. (Terry) and Tina Stokes (Bobby); her grandchildren, Sam (Kelsey), Nicole, Megan (Daniel) and Courtney (Joey); and her great grandchildren, Colton, Alyssa, Cameron, Kaylee, Jesse, Aria, Jaxon and Ethan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (414 Main St, West Point, VA 23181).
