He was predeceased by: his mother Eleanor "Pocahontas" Custalow Cannada; his brother Douglas "Soaring Eagle" Cannada; his uncle Carl "Lone Eagle" Custalow; and his grandfather Chief Webster "Little Eagle" Custalow. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Cannada; his children, Amanda Cannada Mills (Johnathon), Andrew Cannada (Angela), Courtney Cannada Briley (Zac) and Stephanie Cannada Timok (Tony); his grandchildren, Abby, Luke, Elijah, Adaelia, Mark and Elizabeth; his father Alton Cannada; his sister Kathryn Cannada; his siblings-in-law, Niki Cannada and Ricky Smoot (Charlie); his uncle Leon; his cousin Todd Custalow; and his granddaughter Reagan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bennett Funeral Home (8014 Lee Davis Road, Mechanicsville, Virginia 23111). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Mattaponi Indian Reservation Baptist Church (1409 Mattaponi Reservation Cir, West Point, VA 23181).
