He was predeceased by : his parents, James Hula Hudson, Jr. and Irma Anderson Hudson. He is survived by : his wife Ellen Godsey Hudson; his children, Anderson James Hudson (Heather) of Quinton, Virginia and Kathleen Hudson Ohlhausen (Neil) of Falls Church, Virginia; and his granddaughters, Audrey, Olivia Hudson and Hannah Ohlhausen. He is also survived by his family and friends.
