He was predeceased by: his father Richard Cleveland Hinson; his brother Donald Alvin Hinson; and his nephew Jonathan Cleveland George. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Talley Hinson; his daughter Rachel Elizabeth Hinson (Patrick W. Mullen III); his pet Skye; his mother Jacqueline Jones Hinson; his siblings, Alan Keith Hinson (Joanne) and Sheri Hinson George; and his siblings' children, Jessie Hinson Freeze (Doug), Taylor Hinson Deihl (Trevor) and Franklin Kody George.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Reveille United Methodist Church. A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Island Church (4370 Windmill Point Rd, White Stone, VA 22578).
