Buddy Emerson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Buddy Emerson of Whitetop, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 28, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Larry Woodrow and Hattie Lou Waddell Emerson; his wife Betty Jane Coe Emerson; and his siblings, Edison Emerson and Virginia Elliott.
He is survived by: his friend Wilson Creek; his siblings, Stephen Emerson (Lula Belle) of Jefferson, Rex Emerson (Susan) of West Jefferson, Mark Emerson (Patricia) of Independence, VA and Bernice Emerson of Lansing; and his sister-in-law Minnie Huffman.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ashelawn Memorial Chapel (3470 U. S. Hwy 221 N, Jefferson, NC 28640). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
The family respectfully requests no food be brought, and in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the CART Fund for Alzheimer's Research, c/o Ashe County Rotary Club, P.O. Box 1045, Jefferson, NC 28640.
