He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence William Boyd, Sr. and Virginia Eugene Ferrell Boyd; his wife Loretta Phyllis Sparkman; his son Jeffrey Alan Boyd; and his brothers, Clarence William Boyd, Jr., Larry Ray Boyd, Earnest Paul Boyd and Arthur Jennings Boyd.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Jeannette Ray (Larry) and Virginia Eugenie Whitt (Dempsey); his brother David Ferrell Boyd; his grandchildren, Michael Brandon Whitt (Arielle), Morgan Brittney Morton (Dale) and Corey Alan Boyd (Nicole); and his great grandchildren, Amory Ozias Whitt, Ida Maeve Whitt, Soren Till Ibrahim Whitt, Nora Blake Morton, Chaz Everett Boyd and Kian Elliot Boyd.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Singleton Funeral and Cremation Service (1116 Cedar Valley Dr, Cedar Bluff, VA 24609). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
