It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alma Jean Walton Diggs (Williamsburg, Virginia), who passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Walton and Josephine Pritchett (Walton); her spouse Rev. Armstead R. Diggs; and her sister Josephine Gill (Texas). She is survived by: her siblings, Roosevelt Harris (Peggy) of Alabama, Edwina Kennedy (Newton) of Alabama and Theodore Pritchett of North Carolina; her uncle Willie Edward Harris (Evelyn) of Texas; her children, Dr. Wilma Wooten of California, Willie James Wooten, Jr. of Texas and Jennifer Diggs Davis of Virginia; her foster daughter Paula Harris of Virginia; her grandchildren, Marshall Wooten, Melanie Wooten, Kendall Davis, Kaleb Davis, Andrew Hargrove, Baffour Opoku, Jr. and London Wooten; and her great grandchildren, Marshall Tucker, Athena Tucker, Derrick Wooten and Lilly Mae Wooten. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
