It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arlene Ahern Fitzgerald in Williamsburg, Virginia, who passed away on March 29, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John J. Fitzgerald of Milford, CT; her parents, Francis M. Ahern and Elizabeth W. Ahern of Orange, CT; and her brother William F. Ahern of Shelton, CT.. She is survived by: her children, Kerry F. Holmberg (Robert) of Williamsburg, VA, Shayne F. Escher of Winnabow, NC, Deborah A. Fitzgerald of Williamsburg, VA and Patrick J. Fitzgerald (Monica) of Essex, CT. She is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a large extended family.
