She was predeceased by: her parents, Doris Juanita Dove and Billy Palmer; and her brothers, Garcia Dove, Lonnie Dove and Marvin Dove.
She is survived by: her son James Hicks Jr.; her granddaughter Amelia M. Hicks; and her siblings, Margaret Rose, Annette Randall and Nathaniel Dove Jr.. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews; along with a host of extended family and dear friends.
