He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert E. Downing and Esther Price; and his brother Roger E. Downing. He is survived by: his wife Harriet Hasty Downing; his sons, Jeffrey (Ginna), Mark Downing and Alan Downing; and his granddaughter Mary Downing.
