We bid farewell to David Hailey (Williamsburg, Virginia), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 12, 2025 at the age of 70. David touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wardell Hailey and Jacquelyn Braxton Marrow; his grandmother Gussie Judkins; his siblings, Elnora Rhodell, Don Hailey and Darrin Hailey; his nephew Pierre Cotton; and his stepsisters, Janie Braxton and Joyce Braxton.
He is survived by: his siblings, Joan H. Crump, Brenda H. Black (Tony), Linda Hailey, Cleo Hailey and Bryant Hailey (Denise); his stepfather Rev. George Marrow Sr.; his stepsiblings, Roslin Braxton, Roselee Armstead (Phil), Carolyn Cary (John), Micheal Marrow (Cleveland) and George Marrow Jr.; his aunts, Lois Jones, Theresa Piggott and Hazel Pierce; and his uncle Louis Carter (Tywanna).
David retired from the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation after 30-plus years of service, serving alongside his good friend Carlton Morris.
