She is survived by: her children, Maureen Murphy Smith and Brian Murphy; her grandchildren, Courtney Smith Kuykendall, Blair Smith, Maeve Murphy and Patrick Murphy; and her great grandchildren, Daniel Kuykendall and Hunter Kuykendall.
When Ed became ill with Alzheimer's, Eleanor remained by his side and took care of him despite the significant toll it took on her.
