He was predeceased by: his parents, Amy Scott and Harold Gayle. He is survived by: his children, Gifford G. Gordon Gayle, Evadne V. Gayle, Jennifer E. Parker, Joan Gayle-Monre, Sophia Gayle-Curtis, Angela Gayle-Henry, Paul Gayle, Linbergh A. Gayle and Robert A. Gayle; and his wife Norma Martin-Gayle. He is also survived by children; sixteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members.
Viewing will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Whiting's Funeral Home (7005 Pocahontas Trail, Williamsburg, VA 23185). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
