He is survived by: his wife Alfreda L. Thompson; his daughter Amanda L. Thompson; his daughter-in-law Patricia Shurn-Thompson; his grandchildren, Nicole Thompson-Williams of Rochester and Kendall Thompson (Kate) of Dexter, Michigan; his former wife Cheryl Thompson; his son George Thompson III of Rochester; his grandchildren, Zadie, Kieran Thompson and George Thompson IV; his siblings, Celest Yvonne Thompson-Korte of Lansing, Michigan, Fay Thompson-Thomas (Tracy) of Lansing, Michigan and Carl Byron Thompson (Trelis) of Memphis, Tennessee; his sisters-in-law, Mildred Jackson of Ellenton and Dorothy Wright of Conyers, Georgia; and his close friends, Eldred Majors (Laurie) of Rochester and Alfred Gardner (Miriam) of Newport News, Virginia. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
