She was predeceased by: her parents, Ethan Charles Johnson and Louida Conyers Johnson; her siblings, Francis Johnson, Bessie Lee Johnson Coleman, Oscar Johnson, Ethan Charles Johnson Jr. and John R. Johnson; and her husband Leon Matthews Hopkins.
She is survived by: her children, Gwendolyn T. Cox (Charles Victor) of Fayetteville, Lorraine Cooper-Stovall (Antonio) of Toano, Virginia and Russell B. Hopkins of Williamsburg, Virginia. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
