The passing of Hazel Marie Hopkins (Williamsburg, Virginia) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on April 20, 2024 at the age of 85. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Ethan Charles Johnson and Louida Conyers Johnson; her siblings, Francis Johnson, Bessie Lee Johnson Coleman, Oscar Johnson, Ethan Charles Johnson Jr. and John R. Johnson; and her husband Leon Matthews Hopkins.

She is survived by : her children, Gwendolyn T. Cox (Charles Victor) of Fayetteville, Lorraine Cooper-Stovall (Antonio) of Toano, Virginia and Russell B. Hopkins of Williamsburg, Virginia. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Viewing was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Whiting's Funeral Home (7005 Pocahontas Trail, Williamsburg, VA 23185). A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Historic First Baptist Church (727 Scotland St, Williamsburg, VA 23185).
