We are sad to announce that, on December 14, 2021 we had to say goodbye to John David Davis (Williamsburg, Virginia). Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of John David Davis to show support.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. George W. Davis and Mildred Mae Jones Davis; and his son Ian Cabell Davis. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Childrey (Ginny); his children, Spencer (Jen), Trevor (Alana) and Emily; his grandchildren, Isaac, Asha, Ollie and Jenson; his brother Paul (Mary) of Albuquerque; and his brother-in-law Frank (Stephanie) of Richmond. He is also survived by two nephews and a niece.

Upon his return from India, John joined the curatorial staff at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation and would remain with Colonial Williamsburg for his entire 43-year career.
