He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank A. Delaney, Sr. and Mary Virginia Delaney; his wife Elsie Loretta Delaney; and his siblings, Jean Wallace, Leroy Delaney, Mary Smallwood, Ronald Delaney, Debora Delaney and George Delaney.
He is survived by: his children, Paulette Arrington (Tommy) of Hampton, VA, John Delaney Jr. of Newport News, VA, Anissa Collins (Noel) of Bowie, MD and Genee Delaney of Williamsburg, VA; his siblings, Frank Delaney Jr. (Alice), Louise Smith, Deloristeen Delaney, Gerald Delaney, Cathy Delaney and Michael Delaney (Lynn); his grandson Jared Delaney; and his friends, David Doyal and Mildred Jefferson. He is also survived by grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; three great great grandkids; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Whiting's Funeral Home (7005 Pocahontas Trail, Williamsburg, VA 23185). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
