He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lester and Elizabeth Ann Spencer of Harrisonburg. He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his sons, Michael (Linda) and John Christopher; his sister Anita Gaye; and his grandchildren, Kristin Nicole, John Nicholas, Michelle Elizabeth and Joseph William. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
