It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Marie Jackson in Williamsburg, Virginia, who passed away on April 9, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, George N. Washington, Sr. and Maude Lee Allen Washington of New Kent County, Virginia.; her husband James I Jackson; and her siblings, Ricky Washington and Catherine Saunders.

She is survived by : her siblings, Alice D. Morris, Alphonso Washington, Lorenzo Washington (Sherry) and Kevin Washington; her niece Cathalene Worelds; her nephew Desmond Worelds; her stepchildren, Anthony Jackson (Aleeshea), Toni Alford (Earthell), Cherquita Marrow (Carlos), Jamie Morrow, James Marrow and Rashidah Marrow; her friends, James "Jim" Mitchell, Kenneth and Barbara Haywood; and also De'Mari Worelds.

Viewing was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John Baptist Church (1397 Penniman Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23185). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
